Do you need a Sworn Translation to process an adoption request form? All documents not written in the Spanish language must be accompanied by their corresponding Sworn/Official Translation, and equally, documents written in Spanish that need to take legal effect abroad.

Before being able to process an adoption application, a series of documents and certificates (translated by a Sworn Interpreter and legalised) must be presented. The documents that require a sworn translation include the following:

• Psychosocial report
• Marriage certificate
• Birth certificate
• Medical report
• Ecclesiastical record
